Although the public entrance is on St Andrews Street , the front of the building is the old facade of Robert Sayle's and the purpose built court behind the facade was built into the Grand Arcade shopping centre. There are four floors. On the ground floor there is a small reception and security area and the first floor houses court offices. The Family Proceedings courts are on the second floor. There are four Adult courts on the third floor, together with the Crown Prosecution Service, and the Witness Service and the Magistrates' retiring rooms. The top floor is for use by staff and magistrates only.
